Nora + Steve: Tied Together in Fall

We absolutely loved hosting Nora and Steven’s wedding here at The Lawrence Hotel. From the moment they visited us on an open day, we could tell they were going to be a wonderful couple to look after. Their wedding on the 7th of November 2025 had such a warm, relaxed atmosphere exactly the kind of day we love bringing to life.

Nora spent her morning in our bridal suite with her closest people, g

etting ready, chatting, and enjoying the excitement that builds before the ceremony. While the glam team worked their magic, Olivia from our team made sure every part of the venue was set exactly how Nora and Steven wanted it. Lanterns were placed, the crate wall went up, the sashes were ready, their easels were out.

As guests arrived, the sound of a violinist filled the ceremony space. We organised everyone into position bridesmaid, flower girl, and finally Nora walking in with her dad. With 68 guests watching on, the registrar-led ceremony was full of emotion and smiles.

Afterwards, guests enjoyed prosecco, beer, and orange juice while gathering for a confetti moment in the crisp November air. Inside, the wedding breakfast tables were set and ready, and the autumn-inspired menu went down a treat leek and potato soup, roast chicken, sticky toffee pudding, and lots of happy faces. Speeches followed, bringing laughter and a few tears before guests enjoyed tea, coffee, and a little time to relax.

As evening guests arrived, the band set up and Nora and Steven shared their first dance. Later, we helped organise their sparkler moment outside, which always feels a little magical against an autumn night sky. The “Roast & Toast” evening food was served at 8:30pm roast beef and fries, veggie plates, and pizzas for the kids in the Blue Room. An amazing live band playing though the night! The dancefloor stayed lively right until midnight, with the bar open until one for those last chats and drinks before bed.

In the morning, we served a full English breakfast for the staying guests, giving everyone a relaxed way to round off the celebrations and share stories from the day.

And the biggest compliment of all came from Nora and Steven themselves. They left us this message, which means the world to our whole team:

The food from booking to our final breakfast the day after the wedding, the food was fantastic! We’ve been numerous times and always had a lovely meal (and definitely will again). 10/10 The rooms we booked out all the rooms on our wedding night. Every guest commented on how clean and well looked after they were! The bridal suite was amazing too! 10/10
